Unlocking Overlockers - Berkeley Vale

Make and take workshop. Make a dustcover with overlocker only seams, hems and edges (no sewing machine required)

Gain some confidence using your overlocker: including learning how to thread it, how to disengage cutting knife, troubleshoot common stitching woes.

Project is a simple, top opening slip cover with drawstring close. You can make it for your overlocker, which you will need to bring with you on the day - design is easily adjustable for cover for sewing machine or any benchtop appliance (if making for another item than overlocker, please bring the item with you, or measure it's height, circumference and note any parts that might require shaping adjustments or a storage pocket; take a few phone photos.)

Requirements to bring:

• 0.5m printed woven fabric like a patchwork cotton or vintage fabric for pockets and top.

• 2m ribbon for drawstring.
