About the event

Wet felting is an ancient craft technique thought to date back as far as 6500-3000 BCE in Turkey. It is considered one of the oldest textile-making techniques, even predating weaving and spinning.  Wet felting uses hot, soapy water and friction to interlock wool fibres into a dense, non-woven fabric called felt. It's a beginner-friendly method for creating various items like accessories or decorative pieces. Participants will be taught the art of wet felting using pure merino wool. Participants will take home their own unique piece of art at the end of the day, along with a whole new skill..

All materials and equipment will be supplied.
