About the event
Knitting skills for everyone. This workshop will be an encouraging and practical class suitable for beginners and anyone wanting to re-learn to knit. Christina will show you knit and purl stitches, casting on and off, & we will explore some stitch patterns and using colours.
The first project is a 10" knitted square, which can become part of a blanket, bag or scarf for yourself, or eventually donated to Wrap with Love as we get enough finished squares together. First set of needles and yarn supplied.
PLEASE NOTE : This workshop is covered in two x 2 hour sessions a week apart, so you have an opportunity to practice in between classes, and so you can come back and ask questions as you discover them. The dates are Wednesday 4th September, and Wednesday 11th September. You will be expected to attend both days, not only one. Please only book for this session if you can attend BOTH days.
*Christina will also come to the Creative Collective Days as WSCC for follow-up and fix-it-up encouragement for those who keep going with it.
Beginners welcome, as is everyone else. Price includes all materials and use of the machines and equipment.
