About the event

These workshops are an Introduction to Power Tools, where you will learn the basic use of everyday power tools. Included is: 

• How to safely use a cordless drill, an impact driver, a circular saw and a compound mitre saw.

• How to adjust each tool for different projects, how to choose the right tool for every job, how to choose the correct drill/driver bit or saw blade. 

• How to make straight and mitre cuts.

At the end of the workshop you will have a new found confidence when using these power tools at home for odd jobs and DIY. To attend this workshop, you will need competent and comfortable use of both hands.

Workshop instructors - Lily Fink and Rob Darnley. Lily and Rob are partners in life, and have vast experience in renovating and building. Lily and Rob have even built a little house from the ground up, and have lots of wisdom to share. 

**Please note, Rob is a man, and while the WSCC does not rule out having male facilitators from time to time, we are conscious that some women would prefer to only be taught by other women, so please take this in to account when booking your spot.
